On May 20, NBA-TV analyst and former NBA player Eric Snow filed for divorce from DeShawn Graves Snow, who appeared on the first season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The Alpharetta couple has been married for twelve years.
The high-asset divorce was filed in Fulton County Superior Court. Eric Snow cited irreconcilable differences and has requested a joint child custody arrangement over the couple’s three children, Eric, Darius and Jarren.
Eric Snow, who is the brother of linebacker Percy Snow, played for the Seattle SuperSonics, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was released from the Cavaliers in 2009 due to a knee injury and joined NBA-TV. He is the founder of the Shoot for the Moon Foundation, the author of the book Leading High Performers, and winner of several sportsmanship and citizenship awards.
According to a recent report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution citing DeShawn Snow’s website, Ms. Snow is seeking her Master of Divinity Degree at Regent University and is a minister at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia. She has been active on charity boards and run her own nonprofit focusing on building self-esteem in teen girls.
Ms. Snow appeared in 2008 and 2009 on the first season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but was not brought back for the second season. According to the AJC article, she told Essence magazine that she was told she was “too human for a circus show” and would not fit in as the show ramped up the level of drama in subsequent seasons.
